We were blessed with a white Christmas and a lovely day with friends. And today, my husband had a doctor's appointment (a check-up) and the physician's assistant offered up a wonderful "life goes on" moment. Seems that her scheduled December 4th wedding (in the tropics) was canceled because she discovered something about her fiancee that wasn't good. So she canceled the wedding with less than two weeks to go. I commended her on having the guts to do that--and she appreciated the words of encouragement. She was also aware of one of my favorite truisms: A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle. Rich doesn't always appreciate hearing that--but I always tell him that I choose to be with him and that means a lot!
